Now, more than ever it is important that we do our part to preserve these natural environments. If you have been inspired by any of these images, I encourage you to take part in conservation. The following is a list of organizations I support. -Being a part of the solution is its own reward.

Pacific Crest Trail Association

The Jane and Flicka Endowment Fund
This fund was established in memory of Jane and Flicka Rodman who were killed in 1995 while attempting a thru-hike of the 2,638 mile Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. They began their journey at the Canadian border and were about 600 miles from their destination, the Mexican border, when they were struck by a car while hiking through the Mojave Desert. An annual memorial hike has been organized by their families to keep their spirits alive and raise funds for the Pacific Crest Trail Association. Proceeds from the endowment fund will initially be used to replace trail markers along the entire length of the PCT. If you are interested in becoming a member of the PCTA, making a contribution to the Endowment Fund, or participating in the memorial hike visit the PCTA website.

As a volunteer at the Elkhorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve, I have been commited to helping the Foundation preserve this critical resource through the donation of time and photographs to enhance their brochures, newsletters, website and research projects.
